James Ervin Bow 73 of Eighty Eight, KY died Thursday April 2, 2009 at his home. He was born in Cumberland County the son of the late Clarence and Vanis Hurt Bow. James was a carpenter and was an employee of Kerley Construction Company before his retirement. He was a member of the Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Eighty Eight. He is survived by his wife Shirley Huffman Bow; a son Kevin Bow and wife Debbie of Eighty Eight; a daughter Kathy Riddle and husband Steve of Eighty Eight; 2 grandchildren Megan Bow and Jonathan Riddle and two sisters Molly Walker of Crawfordsville, IN and Gertha Ogborn of Sebring, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Charles Bow and four half brothers, Howard, Alvin, Stanley and Keen Bow. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday April 4, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Refuge Cemetery at Eighty Eight. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn. or the T. J. Samson Hospice, 1301 N. Race St., Glasgow, KY 42143-3483.
