James Burgess

James Clayton Burgess 93 of Glasgow, KY died Wednesday January 14, 2003 at the Barren County Health Care Facility. Mr. Burgess was born in Barren County the son of the late James Lunsford Burgess and Mamie E. Burgess and husband of the late Mae Kingery Burgess. He was a retired farmer, a U. S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of the Temple Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by a son Royce Burgess and wife Sue of Glasgow; a daughter Virginia Burgess Settle and husband Larry of Glasgow; two grandchildren Chad Settle of Glasgow and Julie Burgess Robinson and husband Craig of Magnolia, KY; three great grandchildren Ashley, Brock and Sydney Robinson of Magnolia, KY; one brother Clarence Burgess of Moonachie, New Jersey and one sister Hazel Burgess Hume of Glasgow. Funeral serivces will be 1pm Saturday January 17, 2004 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Union # 2 Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12:00 Noon Friday at the funeral home.
