James Byrd Wells

James Byrd Wells, 80, of Glasgow, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born in Glasgow on October 1, 1941, to the late Earl Wells and Allie Weaver Wells. James was a long-time farmer and carpenter and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Virginia Davis Wells; two brothers, Bruce Wells (Shirley) and Freddie Wells (Katie); two sister, Coradene Spear (Robert) and Yvonne Myers; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Earline Franklin. Funeral service will be 11:00am Tuesday, February 1st at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and on Tuesday morning until time for service at the funeral home. A.F.
