James Douglas 'Doug' Coffey 62 of Glasgow died Friday, May 21, 2004 at his residence. Born in Russell County, KY he was the son of the late Robert F. Coffey and Pauline Dunbar Coffey of Jamestown, KY who survives. Mr. Coffey was one of the original Co-Founders and owners of Alliance Corporation and attended the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he was active in the recent building program and church activities. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife Mary Reeves Coffey, 2 daughters Leanne Coffey Stewart and husband William of Bowling Green, Beth Coffey Littrell and husband Quintin of Bowling Green, father-in-law Buford Reeves of Columbia, KY 2 step-children Debra Alexander and husband Brad of Glasgow, Terry Pickett of Stockbridge, GA, 5 grandsons Andrew, Matthew and Patrick Stewart, Luke and Zack Littrell, 2 step grandchildren Jeremy and Jessica Alexander, 1 sister Alice Luttrell and husband Gerald of Russell Springs, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 23, 2004 at the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Glasgow. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 22, 2004 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. At the request of Mr. Coffey his body was cremated. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the building fund of the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church or to the CJD Foundation, P.O. Box 5312, Akron, OH 44334.
