James Coop

James R. Coop 82 of Smiths Grove died Monday January 30, 2006 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Mr. Coop was born January 31, 1923 in Cumberland County, KY the son of Eugene McKinley Coop and Dullie Key Coop. Mr. Coop was the owner and operator of Coop Auto Sales in Cave City. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and was a member of the Westwood Church of Christ in Glasgow and was a Kentucky Colonel.. He is survived by his wife Bernice Dodson Coop; 1 daughter Susan Kingrey and husband Allan of Smiths Grove; 3 brothers Eugene Coop of Smiths Grove, Archie Coop of Bradford, FL and Larry Coop of Bowling Green; 1 sister Dorothy Coop Matthews of Louisville; 2 grandchildren Amanda Kingrey Fiessinger and husband Robert of Park City and Joshua James Kingrey of Smiths Grove and 2 great grandchildren Justin and Benjamin Fiessinger. He was preceded in death by a son Donald Eugene Coop and a daughter Vicki Mae Coop and a sister Glendola Coop Swain. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursdsay February 2, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bonayr Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:0am on Wednesday at the funeral home.
