James Wesley Crow, Sr. 90 of Glasgow died Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at his home at Highland Ridge in Glasgow. He was born in Scottsville, KY the son of the late Aubrey Follis Crow, Sr. and Irene Lovelace Crow. James was a funeral director and was employed by his father early in his career at A. F. Crow Funeral Home. He was a veteran serving in the U. S. Marine Corp during WWII and the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He became a banker and was associated locally with several financial institutions including, First Federal Savings & Loan, Citizens Bank, Security Savings & Loan, Cardinal Federal and most recently South Central Bank. He was a member of Allen Lodge #24 F Kosair Shriners, Louisville; Marine Corps League and D.A.V. and a former member of the Glasgow Rotary Club. He was also a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Judy Crockett, a brother Aubrey Follis Crow, Jr. and two sisters Frances and Elizabeth Crow. Survivors include two sons James W. 'Jim' Crow, Jr. (Esther) of Bowling Green, Robert Gregory Crow (Vicki) of Flat Gap, KY; two daughters Diane E. McGuire and Connie J. Vaughn both of Glasgow; a sister Lucy Crow Starks of Glasgow; 12 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and three Great-Great Grandchildren; two nephews and two nieces. Funeral services will be 2:00 Sunday, September 20th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 Saturday.
