James LeRoy Davidson 74 of Glasgow died Monday at his home after a brief illness. He was born in Barren County the son of Glen and Emma Catherine Hayden Davidson. Mr. Davidson was a truck driver and a former employee of Davidson Oil Co. and more recently the Bass Co. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Indianapolis, IN, was an avid bowler and attended the Old Zion United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife Marjorie Furlong Davidson; 2 daughters Sheila Edmunds (Chris) of Glasgow and grandchildren Haley Johnson (Matt), Seth, Tyler and Luke Edmunds, a great-grandson James Mattox Johnson; and Wendy Mitford (Paul) of Indiana, and grandchildren Alex, Nick, and Michael; 1 son Ricky Davidson (Nancee) of Florida; his mother Emma Catherine Davidson of Park City and a sister Glynna Hogan (Whimpy) of Park City. Funeral services will be 3:30 pm Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Old Zion Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:30pm Tuesday. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home and the public is welcome to attend.
