James Edward Cross

James Edward Cross, 72 of Hiseville, KY passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. James was born in Glasgow on October 15, 1948, to the late Walter Lewis Cross and Louella Irene Harper. Mr. Cross was a lifetime farmer, and worked for over 18 years, as a road paver with Larry Glass and Scotty's Construction Company. He was a member of the Echo Mission Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife, whom he married June 14, 1965, Marilyn Sue Cross; Children, Loretta Williams (Kevin), Karen Furlong, and Jonathan Cross (Wendy); grandchildren, Cody Furlong (Jessi), Odessa Duggin, Colton Furlong (Hope), Gabrielle Cummings, Joshua Cross, and Savannah Cross, Lily Cummings, Faith Cummings, Irelynn Williams; great grandbabies, Lucien, Kinley, Ryker, and Calliope Furlong; one sister, Bonnie Winchester; one brother, Randy Cross. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn Cross, Walter Travis Cross: two sisters, Vickie Brown, and Pauline Bishop. Funeral service for Mr. Cross will be 2:00pm Tuesday, September 7th at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Buck Hill Cemetery in Savoyard, KY. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Tuesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
