Jimmy Ferrell 77 of Glasgow, died Thursday, October 30, 2014 at his home. Born in Burkesville, KY he was the son of the late Ernie R. and Opal Garner Ferrell. Jimmy was a brick mason and had served on the Glasgow City Council for 22 years. He loved sports, especially softball, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife Betty Sue Botts Ferrell; daughter Leigh Anne Phelps (Bobby); son Bo Ferrell; 5 grandchildren Taylor and Maggie Phelps, Jackson and Elliott Ferrell and Noah Anderson; sisters Alice Glass (Herman) of Glasgow and Charlotte Dyer of Albany, KY; sister-in-law Bobbie Ferrell; nieces and nephews Carolyn Ferrell Skipworth (Howard), Jennifer Dyer, Charlotte Ferrell, Russell Glass (Kim), Joey Botts (Leigh Anne) and Spencer Botts (Julie). He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Ernie Lee and Tommy Ferrell, a brother-in-law Jimmy Dyer and a nephew James F. Dyer III. Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, November 2nd at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 3pm until 8pm and Sunday morning until time for services. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Community Medical Care or the First United Methodist Church.
