James Franklin Lowe "Junior"

James Franklin Lowe "Junior", 88 of Smiths Grove, KY passed away Monday, January 2, 2023, at the Medical Center in Scottsville. He was born in Railton, Ky on April 2, 1934, to the late James Marshall Lowe and Aline Payne Lowe. Mr. Lowe was a longtime Truck Driver for the LL Morris Co. and a member of the Shiloh General Baptist Church. Junior and his wife, Marie, were in the oil drilling business together for 33 years. Survivors include his loving wife of 72 years, Marie Francis Lowe of Smiths Grove, KY; two daughters, Mary Gladys Jones, and Pamela Leetta Smith; grandchildren, James Douglas Smith (Becky), Marie Dawn Smith Harbison (Joey), Teresa Danelle Jones, and Kevin Wayne Jones (Kim); great grandchildren, Alyssa Smith (Andrew Hoffman), Nicholas Smith, Abigail Harbison, Maddie Harbison, Noah Harbison, Ashley Jones, Anna Jones, and Adaline Jones; one brother, Jerry Marshall Lowe; one sister, Frances Whitley. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Steven Lowe, and Wesley Lowe; one sister, Dorothy Madison; one son-in-law, Charles Smith. Funeral service will be held 1:00pm Saturday, January 7th at the Shiloh General Baptist Church with burial in the Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Saturday morning from 10:00am until time for the service at the church.
