James Glass

James Lee 'Jimmy' Glass 67 of Austin, KY died Thursday, November 28, 2013 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born at Lucas, KY the son of the late Herbert L. and Ruth Camille Reeves Glass. Jimmy was retired from the Brinco Co. in Virginia and a former employee of Tyson in Glasgow, and was a veteran serving in the U. S. Navy. He was a former teacher at the Barren County Area Vocational School and had attended the First United Methodist Church in Glasgow. Survivors include four daughters, Tina Glass (Harold Butler) of Glasgow, Tonya Stafford of Glasgow and Whitney and Lauren Glass of Virginia; 2 sisters Virginia Houchens of Austin, KY and Barbara Williams (Roy H.) of Lucas, KY; six grandchildren Jeremy, Heidi and Lindsey Bennett, Brooke Hume, and Coti and Haley Stafford; five great-grandchildren Jackson Bennett, Grace Byrne, Cade Byrne, Maddox Lewis and Rylan Madewell, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Louise Williams. Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, December 1st at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Caney Fork Cemetery with military honors provided by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will begin at 11am Saturday.
