James Oliver Goad 97 of Glasgow died Monday April 20, 2009 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. He was born in Allen County the son of the late Robert and Rosa Houchens Goad. Mr. Goad was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He was a Barber for many years, first with Bill Howard's Barber Shop and later with Carlos Wilson's Barber Shop and also was a farmer. Survivors include his wife Ada Davidson Goad; one son Mike Goad and wife Pam of Glasgow; 2 step grandchildren Nicole Pursley (Jared) and Leslie Spillman (Brent) and 1 step grandchild Tate Spillman. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son Jimmy Randall Goad, 5 brothers; Herbert, William, Ed, Frank and Paul Goad and a sister Georgia Dean. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday April 22, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
