James "Buddy" Hall, 88, of Owensboro, joined his loved ones in Heaven on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014. Buddy was born in St. Louis, Missouri on Aug. 18, 1926, to the late James A. Hall and Etta Horn Hall. He was a self-employed President of Suburban Gas Heating Company, Inc. and a veteran of World War II. He enjoyed being a "Jack of all Trades", and gardening, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Freeman Hall in 2014; two brothers, Johnny and Hillary Hall; and a sister, Margaret Alice Hall. Surviving is a son, James Wayne (Sue) Hall of Owensboro; a daughter, Donna (Henry) Head of Owensboro; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four sisters, Martine Richardson, Dorothy McCollam, Mary (Bud) Coleman, and Pat (Leroy) Shultz; a sister-in-law, Jean Hall; and a brother-in-law, Clarence Freeman. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Susan G.
