James Houchens

James Ray Houchens, 76, of Lucas, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. James was born to the late Jimmy D. and Ruby Furlong Houchens at the old farmhouse in Beckton, Kentucky on March 25, 1945. James was a lifetime farmer. James and Tressie were married by Reverend Rex Hunt at his home in Fountain Run, Kentucky. They were blessed with 52 happy years. Survivors include his loving wife, Tressie; five nephews; one niece; and several great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harry Houchens; two sisters, Etta M. Aiken (late Luther Aiken), Elizabeth Wyatt (James R. Wyatt, Jr.); and one great nephew, Charles Wesley Cochran. The funeral service for Mr. Houchens will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 20th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday morning from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F.
