James Earl "Jimmy" Emmitt, 70, also known as "Puddin" and "Okie Dokie" died Monday, October 3, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Glasgow the son of the late Herbert Lee Emmitt and Martha Bunch Emmitt. For over 20 years he was a self-employed Logger. Then later he worked as a truck driver for several years and most recently for Glass Paving Company. Mr. Emmitt loved anything to do with horses, to include riding and going to horseshows. He also enjoyed being with his friends and one group of friends in particular, known simply as "The Bunch". He was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his wife Shirley Stephenson Emmitt of Glasgow; son Casey Emmitt (Wendy) of Glasgow; daughter Dana Emmitt Hall (Kelly) of Bon Ayr; 5 grandchildren Danielle Hall, Kelsey Hall and Cameron Hall of Bon Ayr and KaiseyLayne Hester (Justin) and Harlie Emmitt both of Glasgow; Sister Mary Kingrey (Jim) of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 2 brothers Rondal and Arnold Emmitt. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday October 5, 2016 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
