James Bedford Johns 80 of Glasgow, died Sunday morning August 20, 2006 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Monroe County the son of the late Ray and Anise Arterburn Johns. Mr. Johns was a farmer and was retired as the assistant manager of the Bon Ayr Toll Plaza on the Cumberland Parkway. He was was a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Betty Berryman Johns; 1 daughter Cathy (Bob) Trivette of Nashville, TN; 2 sons Jamie (Susan) Johns of Indianapolis, IN and Robert 'Robbie' (Janie) Johns of Glasgow; 1 sister Etta (Robert) Smith of Indianapolis; 1 brother Joel (Suzann) Johns of Indianapolis, IN; 6 grandchildren Chris Johns, Kevin Barnett, Chan Johns, Lindsey-Rae Barnett, Lindsay Jones, and Nick Johns. Two great grandchilren also survive. He was preceded in death by a sister Edna Alcock and a brother Roger Johns. Funeral servcies will be 1:00pm Tuesday August 22, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 2:00pm on Monday.
