James Lewis

James Lawrence Lewis 68 of Glasgow died Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at his residence. Born in Barren Co. he was the son of the late James A. & Sarah E. Byrd Lewis. Mr. Lewis was a farmer in Barren County for many years. Survivors include his wife Emma Theresa Carter Lewis of Glasgow; 2 daughters Teresa Brown and Vickie Turner (Chris) both of Glasgow; a son Ricky Lewis of Glasgow; a step-daughter Katerah Martin (Randy) of Madisonville, TN; 2 step-sons James Hicks of Glasgow and Jay Hicks of Madisonville, TN; 3 grandchildren Ashley Taylor, Dewayne Holman and Joey Brown; a great grandchild Madison Taylor; 7 step-grandchildren Christopher Parks, Julia Hicks, James Scott Hicks, Jacob Martin, Emily Martin, Jonathan Martin and Joshua Martin; 2 sisters Patricia Smith of Glasgow and Mary Emmitt of Edinburgh, IN. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Thelma Jean Lewis. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Chapman Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00am Friday at the funeral home.
