James Lewis

James A. 'Jim' Lewis 89 of Glasgow, died Tuesday April 8, 2008 at his home. He was born in Barren County the son of the late Joe and Lucy Marsh Lewis. Mr. Lewis was a farmer and was a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 69 years Sarah Elizabeth Lewis; 1 son James L. Lewis (Theresa) of Glasgow; 2 daughters Mary Louise Emmitt (Walter) of Columbus, IN and Patricia Smith (Larry) of Glasgow; 1 brother Albert Lewis (Rosie) of Cave City; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Thelma Jean Lewis, three brothers Bruce, Bryant and Les Lewis, two sisters Flora Johnson and Hettie Tarry and a grandson Wilbur Emmitt. Funeral services will be 4:00pm Thursday April 10, 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Chapman Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00pm Wednesday.
