James Norris

James Thomas Jim Norris 86 of Glasgow died Sunday August 24, 2008 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was the son of the late Luther and Ellen Brackney Norris. Mr. Norris was a retired oil and gas producer and was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. He was a member of the Trinity Nazarene Church in Glasgow and a member of Kosair, Louisville Chapter. He is survived by his wife Poodle Cummings Norris; 2 sons Gary Thomas Norris (Leona) and Ronald Dwayne Norris (Debbie) both of Glasgow; 5 grandchildren Felicia (Joe) Montgomery, Marchelle (Dave) Forish, Rauni Rene Norris, Cynthia Denise (Mike) Lowe and Jennifer (Spencer) Clemmons; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Clifton, Frank and Markie Norris and 3 sisters Flo Brown, Frances Calvert and Mary Gwinn. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Tuesday August 26, 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow, will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3:00pm on Monday.
