James Oliver

J. C. Oliver 81 of Glasgow died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Barren County the son of the late Leo and Sarah Bethel Oliver and husband of the late Lourea Thomas Oliver. Mr. Oliver was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and the recipient of the Purple Heart medal. He was an employee of R. R. Donnelley & Sons for over 30 years, a Mason and a member of the Siloam Baptist Church. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Steven and Shannon Oliver of Cave City; 2 grandsons Tate Simmons and A. J. Oliver; 2 brothers Darrell Oliver and Leo Oliver, Jr.; a sister Margaret Kinslow; several nieces and nephews and his best friend Elaine McGuire. Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, May 7th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:30pm Tuesday.
