James Parks

James Parks, 29, of Caneyville, passed away Thursday, October 26th, 2017 at his residence. He was born on Thursday, February 18th, 1988 in Grayson County, the son of Dewayne and Joyce (Geary) Parks. James loved spending time with his daughter, Karmin. He also loved playing his guitar and singing. James is survived by his daughter, Karmin Parks of Caneyville; his mother, Joyce Parks (Bobby Young) of Caneyville; three brothers, Anthony Parks of Caneyville, Westley Parks (Kim) of Westmoreland, TN and Cecil Parks (Tiffany) of Caneyville; four sisters, DeeDee Cook (Tony) of Leitchfield, Tammy Foreman (Brandon) of Caneyville, Mary Miller of Leitchfield and Rachel Parks of Caneyville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. James is preceded in death by his father, Dewayne Parks. Funeral services will be Sunday, October 29th at 3:00 pm at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Leland Sandlin will be officiating. Burial will be in the Richland Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Sunday after 10:00 am until time of service. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the James Parks Memorial Fund c/o the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home.
