James Spradlin

James Howard Spradlin 69 of Glasgow, our beloved husband and father, died Tuesday January 8, 2008 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Metcalfe County the son of the late Gorie and Dorothy Jeffries Spradlin. Mr. Spradlin was a former resident of Indianapolis, IN where he was a Marathon Service Station Manager and more recently was a custodian at Metcalfe County High School. He attended the Immanuel Baptist Church in Glasgow and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Templeton Spradlin; 1 daughter Sharon Lee Wells (Leon) of Glasgow; 2 sons Robert Alan Spradlin (Tina) of Indianapolis, IN and Terry Dwayne Spradlin (Melani) of Columbus, OH; 8 grandchildren Tyler Ly, Nicole Houchens, Natasha Fahmy, Leslie Spradlin, Chelsie Crow, Caleb Spradlin, Rachel Spradlin and Ashley Spradlin; 4 great-grandchildren Landen and Kaiden Houchens, Jayden Soubieden and Khalia Fahmy; 1 brother Homer Lee Spradlin (Lorene) of Indianapolis, IN; 2 sisters Louise Garrett (Edward) of Glasgow and Geneva Spencer (James) of Beaver Dam and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday January 10, 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the missionary fund for Shawn and Carla Estes through Immanuel Baptist Church.
