James Shelton Turner 82 of Cave City, KY died Sunday November 23, 2008 at his home. He was born in Barren County the son of the late William Herbert and Bertha Toohey Turner. Mr. Turner was a farmer, a U. S. Army Veteran WWII and a member of the Columbia Ave. Church of Christ in Glasgow. Survivors include two grandsons Brad Turner and wife Katina of Cave City and Brian Turner of Bowling Green; two great grandchildren Cole and Carly Turner; 4 sisters Thelma Burns of Dayton, OH, Magdaline Jordan of Martinsville, IN, Louvenia Duvall of Park City and Pat Taylor of Glasgow; 1 brother Ernest Turner of Hillsboro, OH and seven nieces and five nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth Peden Turner, a son Charles Shelton Turner and a brother Edmond Lee Turner. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday November 26, 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
