James Walton Alexander, 90, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Monday, November 15, 2021, at the Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born October 23, 1931, in Bon Ayr, Kentucky to the late John Alexander and Bessie May Gray Edmunds. James grew up farming and was a real estate investor for over 60 years. He was also an entrepreneur/landowner in and around Barren County. Mr. Alexander was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Poynter; grandson, Dewayne Poynter; and great granddaughter/apple of his eye, Olivia Poynter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife whom he married in December of 1951, Dorothy Lee Burgess Alexander; brother, Alton Alexander; and sisters, Ruth Waller, and Hilda Copas. There will be a private family funeral service held Saturday, November 20th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Old Zion Cemetery. A. F.
