James Whitely

James Leon Whitely, age 74 of Leitchfield passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield. He was born December 7, 1941 in Grayson County, Kentucky the son of the late Raymond and Flossie Mercer Whitely. He was a Vietnam War Veteran and owner of Gifts by Jim in Leitchfield. He is survived by one niece, Brenda Sue Whitely - Decker of Leitchfield, a great-nephew, Daniel Decker (Jennifer) of Leitchfield, two Great-great-nieces, Devlyn and Rimmie Decker also of Leitchfield, and one aunt, Aileen Wadell of Elizabethtown. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his brother,Robert Whitely. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield with Bro. Jim Butler officiating. Burial will be at Leitchfield Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
