Jane Rogers

Jane C. Rogers, 83, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born October 13, 1930 in Daviess County to the late John and Louise Gillim Cheuvront. She was the Executive Secretary to the City Engineer of Owensboro for 32 years and a charter member of Immaculate Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, boating and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, William "Bill" Rogers, two daughters, Mary Lou (Don) Kincaid of Louisville, Julia Lea (Doug) Freyberger of Newburgh, IN, three granddaughters, Melissa Beasley, Ashley Wilhem, Maria Pickens, three step grandsons, Kyle Freyberger, Nick Freyberger, Nathan Freyberger, three great granddaughters and her caregiver of 8 years, Therese Hughes. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Catholic Church with Father Tony Jones officiating and burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. There will be no visitation Saturday morning prior to the service.
