On Monday, June 22, 2020, Janet McCoy Dilley, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and beloved child of God, died at her home at the age of 74. Janet was born on May 5, 1946 in Metcalfe, Ky to Owen and Mary McCoy. She was a member of the South Green Street Church of Christ. She studied Cosmetology in Nashville, TN which led to a career of 50 + years. Janet gave back to her community as a volunteer in many ways. She is most known for her time at Hiseville Elementary School as well as her jail ministry. On November 13, 1965, she married the love of her life, Albert Ray Dilley. She was a devoted and loving mother to her son, Kerry Albert Dilley. She was very proud of her family and was excited to be "Nanny" to her Granddaughter. Janet loved holidays and family get-togethers as well as spending time with friends; any chance to spend time with her family and friends was important to her. Janet had a passion for serving others and the Lord. She loved unconditionally and changed the lives of many throughout her lifetime by her grace and genuine care. She had an infectious smile and beauty that shined through her kindness and compassionate spirit. She lived her life as a true servant of the Lord. Janet was the beloved wife of Albert Ray Dilley for 54 years, devoted mother of Kerry Albert Dilley and his wife Karen, loving "Nanny" of Maycie Wade Dilley, sisters, Joyce Ennis of Bowling Green, Mary Creech (Jim) of Murfreesboro TN, Sylvia Cook (Billy) of Randolph, Norma Dial and Freda Dugger of Glasgow, several cousins, nieces and nephews, and special friend Annette Ballard. Janet was preceded in death by her father, Owen McCoy, Mother, Mary McCoy, Brothers, Jerry Murrell, Jack, Billy, Phillip and Marshall McCoy. A public burial will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at the Glasgow Municipal cemetery at 2:00 P.M. Visitation with family and friends will follow at the South Green Street Church of Christ from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. A Celebration service will begin at 5:00 P.M.
