Janet Marion

Janet Auvil Marion 87 of Glasgow, KY died Thursday, September 9, 2010 at her home after a sudden illness. She was born in Iaeger, West Virginia the daughter of the late James Wesley and Gladys Auvil Bingham. Mrs. Marion was a registered nurse and worked with her husband, Dr. Eugene Marion in his medical office and also was a nurse for R. R. Donnelley & Sons. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a former member of the Garden Club and enjoyed her Bridge and supper club, playing golf and the Barren County Family YMCA. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dr. Eugene L. Marion; 4 sons Wes Marion (Tina), Jim Marion (Debbie), Larry Marion (Donnie) and Dr. Todd Marion (Christy) all of Glasgow; 7 grandchildren Shea Marion of Louisville, Jamie Biven (Jonathan) of Glasgow, Jill Marion of Lexington, Heather Johnson (Daniel) of Glasgow, Max Marion (Leslie) of Glasgow and Annie Marion and Jackson Marion of Glasgow; 3 step grandchildren Sherri Spencer Roberts (Mike) of Richmond and Kara and Justin Poynter of Glasgow; 6 great-grandchildren Jordan Marion, Marion Biven, Madeline Biven, Addie Johnson, Chloe Johnson and Kadin Marion and 3 step-great-grandchildren Spencer Roberts and Abby and Amelia Meadows. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and on Sunday until time for the service.
