Janice Embry

Janice Kay Embry, 56, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, May 29th, 2014. She was born on December 3rd, 1957 in Louisville, the daughter of the late Adrin and Alma (Hack) Embry. She worked for Delta Faucet in Morgantown. She was a member of the Leitchfield Church of God. Janice was called into ministry and was a youth director at various churches throughout her life. She was known for giving free music lessons to MANY people over the years. Janice is survived by her mother, Alma Embry of Butler County; four brothers, Robert Adrin Embry (Carolyn) of Indiana, Jerry Ray Embry (Christine), Donnie Lee Embry and James Henry Embry (Dee Dee) all of Butler County; three sisters, Lavetta Gayle Embry, Darla Ann Roof (Ricky) both of Butler County and Dean Richards (Tommy) of Caneyville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. Other than her father, she is preceded in death by her sister, Juanetta Faye Embry and her brother, David Earl Embry.Funeral services will be Sunday, June 1st at 3:00 pm at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Rick Daugherty and Bro Steve Leach will be officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Home Cemetery.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Saturday after 3:00 pm and Sunday from 9:00 am until time of service.
