Jeanette Powell Furlong, 88, passed away peacefully with her family present on, Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Highland Ridge Assisted Living. She was born on January 19, 1936, in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Paul Herbert and the late Fannie Mae (Williams) Powell. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Carroll E. Furlong.
Jeanette was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She loved visiting with her family and friends. Jeanette enjoyed watching UK basketball whenever they were playing. Jeanette will be remembered by many for her kind and gentle spirit.
She is survived by her children, Marla Stewart (William), Myra Bishop (Bobby), and Paul Furlong (Tammi); grandchildren, Chris Stewart (Amber), Nicole Houchens, Emilee England (Jonathan), and Leslie Lambirth (Nathan); great grandchildren, Landen, Kaiden, Kenzleigh, and Brogen Houchens, Joe, James England, Maddi Lambirth, and three precious little girls; sister-in-law, Juda Furlong; brother-in-law, Edwin Bartley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings Anna Lee, Eula Mae Bartley, Thomas Powell, Emma Laura Childress, and Wesley Powell.

The funeral services for Jeanette will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 29th, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home.
