Jeanette Joyce Button

Jeanette Joyce Wells Button, 89, of Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at NHC in Glasgow. She was born in Barren County on July 21, 1932, to the late Frank Richardson Wells and the late Lennis Depp Wells. Mrs. Button worked at Handmarker for 39 years as a seamstress. Mrs Button belonged to Boyds Creek United Methodist Church. She and her husband enjoyed fostering children from Guatemala with medical needs. She loved to work outside in her yard, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family that she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, William Terrell Button; her brothers, Frank Wells Jr and George O. "Punkin" Wells; a sister, Thelma "Billie" Tolle; two great grandchildren, Chloe Button and Noah Button. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia "Tootie" Bishop (Billy) of Glasgow; a son, William Terrell Button Jr. ‘Bill" of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Joseph Bishop (Sabrina), Lindsey Bishop Nunn (Stuart), and Bambi Gentry (Chris); six great grandchildren, Connor Bishop, Warran Bishop, Serenity Button, all of Glasgow, Madie Nunn, Will Nunn and Hayden Nunn, all of Elizabethtown, KY; a sister, Effie "Snooks" Dean, of Glasgow; a sister-in-law, Wilma Lee Landrum of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 19th, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 10 :00 AM until time for services at the funeral home.
