Jeffrey Poynter

Jeffrey Todd Poynter 36 of Glasgow, died Monday May 22, 2006 at the U of L Hospital in Louisville. He was born in Glasgow, Kentucky and was a minister and former employee of the National Lumber Company for 13 years. Mr. Poynter was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising horses and dogs. He was a member of the Greater Vision Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Janet Emberton Poynter; three daughters Brianna, Shelby and Olivia all at home; his father Danny Poynter and step mother Brenda Poynter of Edmonton; his mother June Tidwell and step father Dean Tidwell of Louisville; 3 sisters Lisa Caffee of Edmonton, Krista Perdue of Louisville and Valerie Poynter of Edmonton; 2 step sisters Tara Smith of Louisville and Tiffany Webb of South Carolina; Maternal grandmother Arcola Poynter of Edmonton; Paternal grandparents W.C. and Thelma Morris of Elizabethtown and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday May 24, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Pink Ridge Cemetery in Metcalfe County. Visitation will be after 11am Tuesday.
