Jerry E. Dozer Renfro 69 of Glasgow died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born December 30, 1941 in Barren County the son of the late Elvis and Elizabeth Bridges Renfro. Jerry was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Viet Nam War and was retired from the Eaton Axle Corp. He was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church, the American Mountain Men Assn. and the Austin Masonic Lodge #847. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joyce Humphrey Renfro; one daughter Melinda Sue Renfro Cook and husband Greg of Scottsville; two grandchildren Baylea Cook and Seth Cook of Scottsville; one Aunt Margaret Renfro of Glasgow and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Ann Renfro Furlong and his father and mother-in-law Virgil and Mildred Wilson Humphrey. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow will be in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Masonic Rites will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday during the visitation and the public is welcome to attend.
