Jesse Jones

Jesse Dee Jones 80 of Glasgow died Tuesday, September 4th at his home. He was born in Barren County the son of the late John Winford and Pearl Ethel Washam Jones. Jesse was a retired superintendent with Gray Construction and was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the South Fork Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Agnes Furlong Jones; 1 daughter Vickie Perkins and Husband Tony of Glasgow; 2 grandchildren Ashley Tabor (Adam) of Scottsville and Judson Perkins of Glasgow; 2 great grandchildren Georgie and Roman Tabor; 1 sister Nettie 'Ollie' Ellis of Glasgow; a sister-in-law Marie Jones of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Andrew Decker, a brother Melvin Jones and 4 sisters Annie Hatcher, Altie Short, Gladys Britt and Cordia Wiley. Funeral services will be 2:00 Thursday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 4:00 Wednesday.
