Jesse Paul Matthews

Jessie "Paul" Matthews, age 86, of Glasgow, died Friday, September 24, 2021, at TJ Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Lucas, KY on November 5, 1934, to the late George Beckham Matthews and the late Goldie Lee Bridges. Early on, he worked at the Children's Museum in Indianapolis. After moving back to Glasgow, he worked and retired from SCRTC. He was a US Army Veteran and a longtime member of Cave City Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Birdwell) Matthews;,; two sons, Dale Matthews of Utah and David Matthews of Indiana; one daughter, Debbie Matthews of Indiana; stepdaughter Vicki Payne (Charlie) of Glasgow three stepsons, Dion West of Indiana, Barry West (Erin) of Campbellsburg, IN, and Donald West (Nancy) of Glasgow; one brother, George Matthews of Indiana; several grandchildren also survive. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM, Tuesday, September 28th at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with cremation to follow. A.F.
