Jesse Steenbergen

Jesse F. Steenbergen 91 of Glasgow died Thursday July 31, 2008 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Monroe County he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Hogue Steenbergen. Mr. Steenbergen was a WW II Navy veteran, farmer and member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Mattye J. Jackson Steenbergen, 2 sons James Franklin Steenbergen (Lorena) of Lucas, K. Michael Steenbergen (Charlotte) Glasgow, 5 grandchildren Todd Steenbergen (Ann), Julie Smith (Brent), Dirk Steenbergen, Gerrit Steenbergen, Inga Steenbergen, 3 great grandchildren Ashley and Spencer Steenbergen, Emma Kate Smith, 1 sister-in-law Eula Steenbergen of Glasgow, several nieces and nephews and cousins also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 grandchild Eric Steenbergen, 4 brothers Guy, Hershel, Murl and Ralph Steenbergen, 3 sisters Bessie Hogue, Dorothy Jones and Lois Woodcock. Funeral services will be held 2PM Sunday, August 3, 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Britt Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 PM Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the funeral home.
