Jessie Thomas

Jessie Thomas 80 of Glasgow died Friday November 2, 2007 at his home. He was born in Monroe County the son of the late James Tas Thomas and Bertha Myers Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a farmer and a former employee of National Brush Company. He was a veteran, serving with the U. S. Army and was a member of the Dover Baptist Church at Mt. Hermon. Survivors include his wife Clarine Combs Thomas; 2 sons Jessie Thomas Jr. (Martha Nell) and James Timothy Thomas (Tammy) all of Glasgow; 2 daughters JoAnn Gumm (Gordon) of Harrodsburg, KY and Teresa Lewis (Nick) of Paducah, KY; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 step grandchild and 2 step great grandchildren and a brother Morris Thomas of Glasgow. He was preceded in death by a daughter Kathy Thomas, four brothers Mitchell, Adis, Denton and Harlan Thomas and two sisters Lourea Oliver and Anna Belle Thomas. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will be after 3:00pm Saturday.
