Jill Bailey

Jill Roaden Bailey 77 of Glasgow died Saturday, November 15, 2014 at her residence. Born in Harlan County, KY she was the daughter of the late O. G. and Stella Fritts Roaden. Ms. Bailey was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Glasgow and formerly active in the B&PW Clubs. She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and Western Kentucky University. While at UK she was encouraged to sing professionally but she preferred teaching. She taught music in the Glasgow Independent Schools until her retirement, and then she was with WKU Elementary Education Department. She was also a Real Estate Broker, avid world traveler and loved playing Bridge with her friends. Survivors include two daughters Kim Bailey Jackson of Glasgow and Lisa Bailey Britt & husband Kevan of Austin, KY; two granddaughters Jacqueline Kinslow of Louisville and Kristi Kinslow-Lemons of Glasgow; four great grandchildren Jobe & Gabriel Walker, Sadie Lemons and Zoe Huguley and 2 nieces. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Dr. Paul Roaden. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00pm until 8:00pm Monday at the funeral home and continue on Tuesday until funeral time.
