Jimmie Elmore

Jimmie Royce Elmore 64 of Lucas died Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Paul R. and Mildred Gunnells Elmore. After 41 years, he retired from SKF. He was an avid fisherman and UK Wildcats basketball fan and was a member of the Maple Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe County. He is survived by his wife Jane Yokley Elmore; 2 daughters Julie Elmore and Jennifer Elmore Bow; 4 grandchildren Justin (Amanda) Smith, Jessa Poynter (Steven Fruge), Joey Poynter and Jaina Poynter; 2 brothers Bobby (Sue) Elmore and Paul D. (Linda) Elmore all of Lucas; 3 sisters June Basham of Bowling Green, and Frances Groce and Joyce Ann (Jewell) White both of Glasgow. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, August 10, 2012 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM Thursday. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
