Jimmy Neal Emmitt, 59, of Glasgow, KY, two stepped his way into the pearly gates of Heaven on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Jimmy was the only son of the late Billie and Laura Emmitt. He was born in Glasgow on June 5, 1961. Jimmy loved hunting, fishing, singing, and playing music. He was a well-known and respected mechanic in Glasgow for many years. Jimmy is survived by his three daughters, Tabatha Heller (Timothy), Heather Buford (Corey), and Amy Reece (Anthony); eight grandchildren, Riveranne and Ryder Heller, Gage and Landri Buford, Payton Reece, Debbie Liffick, Makaila and Mason Handley, all from Glasgow; one sister, Billy Sue Ballard; a very special friend, Lesa Bragg; several nieces, nephews and friends also survive. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by two sisters, Janette Whitworth and Lou Ella Ballard; one brother in law, C.B. Ballard. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, January 15th at Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. All those who wish to honor and remember Mr. Emmitt in person at the service must wear a mask or other appropriate facial covering and practice physical distancing for the safety of those in attendance.
