Joan Dishinger Moore 82 of Glasgow, KY died peacefully Monday, February 9, 2015 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. She was born in Louisville, KY the daughter of the late Bernard and Emma Mathes Dishinger. She was also preceded in death by her husband Scott Moore. Joan graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1951 and was the secretary and treasurer for United Casket Company in Louisville. Joan resided in Glasgow for many years where she was a volunteer with T. J. Samson Auxiliary and a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Throughout her life she liked to quilt and knit. Survivors include her sister Bernadette Dishaw and husband John of Newbury Park, CA; 2 nephews James and Michael McFaul; 3 step-daughters Mary (Mike) Nash and Catherine (Perry) Brantley of Glasgow and Sarah Scott (Steve) Waterfill of Louisville; a sister-in-law Wilma 'Billie Mae' Moore of Glasgow and a special friend Carol Gassaway. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, February 13th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
