Joan Button Smith 82 of Glasgow died Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the NHC Healthcare. Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Dora Nell Powell Short Button, wife of the late Yancy Melvin Smith a self -employed hairdresser and member of the Hanging Fork Baptist Church. Survivors include 1 son Dennis Smith wife Stephanie of Glasgow: 1 grandson Stewart Smith of Atlanta, Ga: 1 sister-in-law Emogene Carter husband John of Glasgow, 1 brother-in-law David C. Smith wife Betty Lois of Austin: several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 1 sister-in-law Annie Mae Mutter and 3 brothers-in-law Bill T. Smith. Jim Allen Smith and Marvin Smith. Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery visitation will be Tuesday 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday morning until time for services.
