Joe Riley Jackson 82 of Glasgow died Friday, February 21, 2014 at his residence. Born in Barren Co. he was the son of the late William Elzie & Maude Lee Copas Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, a veteran of Korean War serving in the U. S. Army, a member of the Cave City Masonic Lodge #790 and a retired farmer and brick mason. Survivors include his wife Polly Jackson of Glasgow; 2 daughters Jackie Todd & husband John G. Todd, III of Summersville, SC and Pam 'P.J.' Jackson-Hancock of Glasgow; 3 grandchildren Shannon Murphy of Harrison, OH, Savannah Ramsey of Travelers Rest, SC and Chantz Hancock of Glasgow; 5 great grandchildren Mason & Ethan Murphy and Hayden, Cooper & Lucas Ramsey; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 5 brothers Thomas, Walter, Jim, Pete & Roy Jackson and a sister Hazel Jackson. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, February 24, 2014 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by DAV Chapter #20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be after 1:00pm Sunday at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 7:00pm provided by Cave City Masonic Lodge #790 and the public is welcome to attend.
