Joe Thomas Vibbert 74 of Glasgow died Sunday, April 11, 2010 at his home. He was born in Cumberland County, a son of the late James Thomas and Martha Jane Branham Vibbert. Retired, Mr. Vibbert was the maintenance supervisor for 44 years for the Housing Authority of Louisville. While living in Louisville, he was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member and a three time past master of the Daylight Lodge #760 F&AM and Scottish Rite in Louisville and a member of the Evangel Christian Church of Louisville. After retiring and moving to Glasgow he has been a member of Allen Lodge #24 in Glasgow and attended the Slick Rock Non-denominational church. He is survived by his wife, Joy Patrick Vibbert; a daughter Anita Ilene Vibbert (Mike) of Glasgow; 3 sons Jeffrey Vibbert (Malinda) of Mt. Washington, KY, Darren Vibbert (Shelly) of Glasgow and Darrell Vibbert (Cathy) of Brandenburg, KY; 3 brothers Paul Vibbert (Helen) and Ralph Vibbert (Susan) of Glasgow, and Willie Ray Vibbert (Joyce) of Shelbyville, KY; 1 sister Myrtle Morgan of Glasgow; a brother-in-law and best friend James A. Patrick of Glasgow; several grandchildren including Bruce Archer of Glasgow and Joshua, Randi and Jennifer Vibbert of Mt. Washington; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers James Marvin Vibbert and Melvin Vibbert and 2 sisters Mary Lou Vibbert and Nina Pearl Ballard. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Tuesday. Masonic Rites will be held at the funeral home at 7:00pm Tuesday and the public is welcome to attend.
