Joe Williams, Jr. 77 of Glasgow died Tuesday August 11, 2009 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. The Barren County native was the son of the late Joe and Nora Thomas Williams. He was a member of the Pleasant Home Missionary Baptist Church, a member of the Order of Eastern Star at Etoile where he had served as Past Patron and was a member and Past Master Mason at Loving Lodge #323 F&AM in Fountain Run. He was a former employee of KY Pants, Dollar General Corp. and was retried from Eaton Axle Corp. He had a great love for fishing and camping and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Sharlotte; 2 sons Steve (Suzi) Kitchens of Riddleton, TN and Ronnie (Tammy) Kitchens of Franklin, KY; 3 daughters Kathy Williams of Bon Ayr, Sharon Rose of Bon Ayr and Becky (Dennis) Vibbert of Glasgow; 2 sisters Rosa Mae (Thomas) Hurt and Juanita Smith both of Glasgow and 1 brother Earl D. (Bernice) Williams of Glasgow. Eight grandchildren, 1 foster grandchild, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday August 14, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Home Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00am Thursday.
