Joe Word

Joe E. Word 70 of Glasgow, Kentucky died Friday January 21, 2005 at his home. Born in Monroe County, he was the son of the late Herbert and Hallie Mae McCue Word. Mr. Word was an over the road truck driver and a former policeman with the Glasgow Police Dept.. He was also a member of the Woodman of the World and the Westwood Church of Christ in Glasgow. He is survived by his wife Dottie; 2 daughters Sarah Beals and husband Jeff of Cadiz, KY and Jo Elaine Pence and husband Tim of Bowling Green, KY; 2 grandchildren Chance and Hallie Beals; 1 brother Harry Word of Glasgow and 1 sister Mary Grace Page of Glasgow. A sister Lucy Denny and a brother Herbert Word preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday January 23, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 5pm Saturday at the funeral home.
