Joey Parks

Joey Parks, 55, of Caneyville, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at his residence. He was born on January 30, 1957 in Louisville, the son of the late Hayward and Doris Shane Parks. He was a coal mine equipment operator. He is survived by his wife, Susan of Caneyville, 6 children, Bryon Bates of Horse Branch, Dreama Parks and Megan Hayes both of Caneyville, Travis Parks of Leitchfield, Tasha Aurbrey of Breckingridge Co, Dustin Parks of Falls of Rough, 14 grandchildren, 4 brothers, Roger, Curtis, and Danny Parks all of Caneyville and Jeff Parks of Horse Branch, and 2 sisters, Carylon Young of Horse Branch and Laverne Sanders of Caneyville. Other than his parents, Joey is preceded in death by his brother, JR Parks. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Wavie Pierce will be officiating. Burial will be in the Richland Cemetery.Friends may call Friday after 3:00 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the funeral home for the Joey Parks Memorial Fund.
