John Elmore

John E. Elmore 78 of Glasgow died Sunday, April 18th at his home. He was born in Barren County the son of the late Yancy and Nettie Mills Elmore. John was a farmer and a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church for 58 years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Josephine Wilkerson Elmore; a son Ricky (Kathy) Elmore of Glasgow; 2 grandsons Jason (Donna) Elmore and Jared (Amy) Elmore of Glasgow, 2 great grandchildren Macy Jo Elmore and John Thomas Elmore; 2 step grandchildren Andrea Brooks and Dustin Jones of Glasgow; 1 step great grandchild Makayla Brooks and a brother Phillip Rex Elmore of Glasgow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Wilma Greer and Pearl Davis and a brother Malcome Elmore. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM Tuesday. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
