John William Kinslow 78 of Glasgow passed away peacefully Sunday, November 15, 2015. He had a deep love for his wife of 53 years, Mae Dean, and his nieces and nephews, and a deeper love for his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a Mason, a member of H. B. Grant Masonic Lodge and had just received his 40 year pin. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. John was a well-known car salesman employed by Preston-Ropp, Bailey-Gibson, Cars & Trucks R Us and an avid coffee drinker. John was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Vera Kinslow, an infant son John Michael Kinslow, a brother George Kinslow, sister-in-law Alean F. Sewell and brother and sister-in-law Herb and Sybil Leamon. Survivors include his wife Mae Dean Kinslow; nieces and nephews Gina Kinslow (Fianc Ike Miller) of Glasgow, Shari Leamon Wallace (Jeff Freeman), Vickie Leasor and Karen Sewell of Glasgow, George Leamon (Jennie) of Frankfort, and Jeff Sewell (Susan) of Knoxville; a brother-in-law Lester Sewell of Glasgow; great-nieces and nephews Brooke Fancher (Kerry), Johnny Jessie, Alex Leasor and Gabe Wallace of Glasgow, Heather Francis (Fianc Jake Nevels) of Nashville, Megan Cecil (John) of Elizabethtown, Sara Walker (Tim) and Allie Sewell of Knoxville and Emily Leamon of Frankfort. Eight great-great nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, November 19th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4pm until 8pm and Thursday morning until time for the service.
