John Stone

John Fitzgerald Stone, 53, of Caneyville, passed away Thursday, December 4th, 2014 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center. He was born on December 29th, 1960 in Grayson County, the son of the late Hayward Arnold and Velvy Ree (Barton) Stone. John was a pallet vendor and was a hard worker his whole life. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Loretta (King) Stone of Caneyville; their two sons, Kenny Stone of New Albany, IN and Josh Stone of Caneyville; 9 grandchildren and 3 sisters, Barbara Coats and Betty Park of Caneyville and Bertha Webb of Leitchfield. Other than his parents, John is preceded in death by his brother, Arnold Stone and two sisters, Alice Manco and Margaret Stone.Funeral services will be Sunday, December 7th at 1:00 pm at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Mark Park and Bro Pete Farris will be officiating. Burial will be in the McGrady Creek Cemetery.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Saturday after 1:00 pm and Sunday from 9:00 am until time of service.
